Lampeter-Strasburg School District delivered for local children this holiday season, donating a record 1,837 toys to the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. L-S schools have served as Toys for Tots neighborhood donation centers for over 15 years. This year’s standouts included L-S High School sophomore Liliana Bacon, who brought in 270+ toys and gift cards, and the Lampeter Elementary School community. Lampeter students and staff collected just over 1,000 toys for the program, which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. Mrs. Poyer’s PM kindergarten class, Mrs. Mannix’s and Ms. Buckius’s first-grade classes, and Mrs. Ditzler’s second-grade class earned donut parties from the Lampeter Elementary PTO for their efforts. Congratulations to the winning classes, and thank you to everyone who donated!
